09:50AM CDT       AI and ML are all around us. Start your Oracle AI and ML

journey! by Biju Thomas, Oracle ACE Director, Global      Oracle Practice Lead at Data Intensity

In today's world, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) have become ubiquitous, making it essential to incorporate these technologies into your business processes and applications. Don't miss the opportunity to explore the vast potential of AI/ML and take your skills to the next level. I am new to AI/ML and would like to explore with you the AI/ML capabilities of Oracle products, including the Database, Oracle Applications, and Cloud Services. Let's discover the sources to obtain 101 lessons and beyond to progress in the ML journey.

10:40AM CDT       Eliminating the Vulnerabilities Associated with PUBLIC Objects, TED Talk by Daniel Morgan, ACE Director Alum

Public objects such as Public Database Links and Public Synonyms increase the database attack surface because they are available to all connected users. Not using the Public objects creates a different issue because every user must have their own private link or synonym. In this "TED talk," only 3 slides, Daniel Morgan will show how to create database links and synonyms that for which access can be granted or revoked by means of a single SQL statement.

11:00AM CDT         Short Break

11:10AM CDT         High Availability and Disaster Recovery options in Oracle              Cloud to exceed your business RPO and RTO by Biju Thomas, Oracle ACE Director, Global Oracle Practice Lead at Data Intensity

The Oracle Gen2 cloud is better, more powerful, and more secure than the Gen 1 cloud. However, Gen 2 has been available since 2019, and many services and features have been added. One area where we saw colossal advancement is business continuity. Let's understand the cloud-native options available to meet the RPO (recovery point objective) and orchestrations available to meet the RTO (recovery time objective). We will discuss the advantages of the Full-Stack Disaster Recovery service on OCI.

12:00PM CDT     Lunch/Networking Break

12:50PM CDT        Oracle Database: Principle of Least Privilege by Daniel Morgan, ACE Director Alum

Governance and Regulatory requirements tell us that we must strictly observe the Principle of Least Privilege and, unfortunately, none of them define what that means and how to achieve it: This technical workshop does.

Morgan's PoLP workshop will define the phrase in actionable terms, demonstrate how to protect the database from misuse of its own executables such as SQL*Plus, RMAN, DataPump and SQL*Loader. Database Profiles, Consumer Groups, Resource Manager Plans, System Privs, Object Privs and Roles will all be covered in this full-impact presentation.

1:40PM CDT         Best of Oracle Cloud World 2023 - Exadata and OVCS by Terry Koch, Sr. Engineer and David Paschall-Zimbel Sr. Systems Engineer, Vaske Computer Inc.

Last year’s Oracle Cloud World had announcements about Exadata X10 as well as Oracle VMware Cluster Services. We will take a broad look at what’s currently available, what features may be of interest, and how this may be implemented in your environment.

2:30PM CDT Tea Break
