09:10AM CST Multi-Cloud made Easy with the OCI-Azure Interconnect

by Suzanne Holliday, Sr. Principal Product Manager, ORACLE

Larry Ellison and Satya Nadella recently announced the general availability of Oracle Database Service for Microsoft Azure (ODSA), enabling Azure Applications to directly access Oracle Database Services with low latency as if operating in one cloud. DevOps and DBAs familiar with Azure can deploy Oracle Databases from the Azure Portal, use ODSA’s automated cross-cloud network provisioning and identity federation as well as view Azure integrated Oracle Database metrics as a single pane of glass for observability. ODSA complements the OCI-Azure Interconnect Service, forged by the 2019 Oracle and Microsoft partnership. Join this session to discover ODSA pre-requisites and best practices for implementing OCI-Azure workloads spanning both clouds using the Oracle converged database, optimized for all database workloads, data types, and development paradigms as a single, unified enterprise cloud solution.

10:10AM CST Reduce database problem resolution

by Alfred Burnett & Darren Mallette, QUEST

With more on your plate than ever – from massive data volumes and multiple database platforms, to DevOps and the cloud – cross-platform database monitoring is critical. You cannot afford any database downtime or performance degradation. Quest Engineer, Darren Mallette, will demonstrate how to proactively monitor the health and performance of all your database platforms through a single console (Foglight for Databases).

11:10AM CST Cyber Protection Options with ZDLRA + ZFSSA (and OCI)

by Brock Frank & Bryan Grenn, ORACLE

In 2022 there has been a 62% year over year increase in the number of cyber-attacks. Hackers have increased their sophistication to not only attack a company’s critical databases, but also attack the backup infrastructure. As a Data Administrator, you are the last line of defense to protect one of your companies most valuable assets, it is data. In this online seminar, learn how to protect your data and how to build multiple layers of recovery protection. Attendees will also learn what other customers are doing to protect their data.
