2:10PM CST Oracle Database Attack Surface Reduction – Session #1
by Daniel Morgan, ACE Director Alum
Technical Director | Database and Cloud Security, Oracle Professional Services | Minneapolis, Minnesota US
There is no product you can buy or service you can buy or configure that will meet the dual challenges of compliance and security. A database can pass every audit and fail on security with seconds. A database can resist all attacks and fail an audit.
Oracle’s Technical Director for Database Security, Daniel Morgan, will discuss, in technical detail and with code examples, how sophisticated attacks take place and live demo at least one so that everyone attending understands how real-world attacks actually work.
The two back-to-back sessions will provide those that attend with the background they need to address real-world Oracle Database security issues and will include a substantial amount of material that has never been published and likely never will be.
Also included, some of the new 23c security changes DBAs and Developers need to be prepared to apply to their environments.
