About the Speakers

Doug Hood - Oracle, Product Manager for Oracle TimesTen, Oracle-In Memory and Oracle NoSQL

Doug started using SQL RDBMS many years ago with DEC Rdb/VMS and then worked on Oracle 5/6/7 before joining Oracle.

He has worked in consulting, product development and product management at Oracle. Doug is a product manager for Oracle TimesTen, Oracle In-Memory and Oracle NoSQL.

Mark Weber - Oracle, Enterprise Cloud Architect

Mark has been with Oracle for almost 9 years. Mark started in Oracle as a Sales Consultant in Oracle Core Technologies with a focus on Enterprise Computing, Oracle Best Practices, Oracle Database and Exadata. Several years ago Mark moved to become an Enterprise Cloud Architect at Oracle with a focus on all aspects of the Cloud and working with customers in their adoption of Oracle Cloud.


Viktor Sahakian - Vice President Hitachi Consulting, Oracle Cloud Technology

Viktor Sahakian has over twenty-five years of consulting experience with applications development, implementations and systems architecture. He has directed and provided project management and technical leadership on multiple global implementations and transformational projects. He currently leads Hitachi Consulting’s Oracle Cloud Technology practice. His focus areas are Cloud based SaaS, PaaS and IaaS transformations: driving customers cloud adoption by helping assess and determine a roadmap for cloud migration (public, private, hybrid or end of life), assessing infrastructure and storage needs, developing consolidation strategies and migration plans and for customers with hybrid applications (on premise and cloud), leveraging PaaS (Integration Cloud Services, Java Cloud Services, Database as a service, Mobile Cloud Service) to co-exist. Mr. Sahakian is also leading Hitachi Consulting’s Oracle technology practice developing solutions for predictive quality, predictive and prescriptive maintenance of assets, based on IoT, advanced analytics and cloud platforms by leveraging Oracle’s IoT Cloud and PaaS services.
